A little history about Truth or Consequences, NM

The small town of Truth or Consequences or “TorC”, population 5,800, won its very fun and interesting name from a popular game show in 1950! Previously known as “Hot Springs”, this funky desert town is filled with lots of art galleries, thrift stores, and of course, naturally occuring hot springs.

Hot Springs Glamp Camp is centrally located right downtown within walking distance of fabulous cafes, creative working spaces, and our favorite TorC Brewing Company! This is a great place where people come to get away and enjoy new experiences.

Hot Springs Glamp Camp

Humans have traveled from near and far for hundreds of years to be healed by the naturally occuring mineral waters. These hot springs are known as the “sweet springs” because they have no sulfur or smell to them. The hot springs are pristine, continually flowing waters with trace elements of 38 different minerals, such as magnesium, lithium, and silica. The thermal springs are some of the most heavily mineralized waters in the US. Temperatures of 107-111 degrees depending on the day. Fresh and clean: Water contains chloride, a naturally occurring germ killer that sterilizes water and ensures purity. Tubs are cleaned and sanitized by staff daily and between each use. Ultimate soaking! All guests have 24/7 hour access to the 3 outdoor tubs and one indoor jetted jacuzzi tub. Guests fill and drain for each use, on a first come first serve basis.

About the hot springs

-The Rio Grande River is just a few blocks from Glamp Camp; you can kayak, tube, or walk the river!

-There are a few local breweries but our neighbor is TorC Brewing Company. The beer is tasty and the staff is warm and friendly. They often have live music on the weekends. We recommend their backyard beer garden.

-Hiking: There are many trails available in TorC. We recommend reviewing them beforehand to check the difficulty level.

-Spaceport America is the worlds first purpose built commercial spaceport. While it is designed specifically for commercial users it is definitely worth the view.

-Art Hop: Many locals and visitors flock to TorC on the second Saturday of each month when all the art galleries open for the evening.

-Riverbend Hot Springs: A beautiful mineral soak right along the river! The best time to attend is at night where they will light up the river and allow you to either have a public soak or you can reserve a private soak.

-Sierra Grande Lodge and Spa: A wonderful space within walking distance to reserve a private soak and a massage.

-White Sands National park is located just 2 hours from the campsite and is definitely a day trip vibe and totally worth it!

-Breakfast and Dinner will be provided

Things to Bring:

New Mexico is an interesting place in more ways than one. The weather is a bit tricky. It will be cool in the mornings and evenings and hot during the day. The best recommendation as far as clothing goes is to dress in layers. So, you can remove layers as the day warms up.
